| New ( To Me ) Brno ZKM 611
I've owned a Brno ZKM 611 .22 Mag. semiauto rifle since I bought one new in 1993. They have increased in value greatly recently ,so I was surprised to find one on Gunbroker that had a six round and a ten round magazine at a reasonable price. The magazines themselves sell for about $100.00 and they are very rare. I had the foresight to buy a few extra magazines when they were still being imported.
The quality of these rifles is best appreciated when they are disassembled- every thing is made from milled forgings. The barrels are threaded to the steel receivers. They take down easily with one captive screw and they can be cleaned from the breech when the massive steel bolt is removed. The scoped rifle is my original ZKM 611. The "new" one has its share of handling marks but shows very little usage otherwise. I expect the newer one to be just as accurate as my first, but I'll need to scope it to determine that. |
