Using one now for Appleseed shoots. They look nice, and maybe Eabco will give you a nicer fit than the one I got at Sarco. (I will not provide a link as they ticked me off)
I had to buy a dremel and take out a bit of the back where the receiver sits in the stock, the damn thing was almost 1/8th of an inch out of spec! The mounting screw did not line up! How does that get out of a factory? (no QA I guess)
I am sure Sarco would have sent me a replacement if I had returned the one I had, but the shoot was the same weekend. Honestly, they should have just sent me another instead of everyone wasting time and money with shipping since it was ONLY going to work after modification. Long story short, be prepared to create your own drop in modifications if Sarco quality is any indicator.
The Sarco model does have the sling swivel attached to the barrel band (+1). That's the only drawback I saw on the Eabco models, and maybe eabco has straightened that out as they used to be drilled into the stock. I would call to make sure.
The Sarco model is not exactly mil-spec as I bought a carbine butt-plate to replace the ribbed one that came with mine. The stock butt was too narrow to fit a real M1 carbine butt plate.
Mine has a nice spray on satiny finish that I will probably redo at some point, but in its present state, with my stainless barrel, it gets looks from the other shooters and the line boss as well. I plane on adding a little more stainless "bling" with a metal handguard, a barrel band repaint and possibly even a fake stainless mag once I figure out how the jerry rig the ruger mag to proper m1 mag. Will post up if I ever get off my but and do these things.
Too bad you don't see them come up as used too often on ebay, but try there before shelling out the $100. The sights are another little monetary gouge, but they sure beat the stock Ruger one's. Make sure you get some kind of adjustment tool from Tech, possibly best to research the kind you want there and get the tool with that shipment. The AR15 tool will do the deed, but the rear elevation is best done with the Tech tool. (trust me on that, I have to use a small screw driver to pick at the crank now, it works, but I have used the Tech version to better effect.)
And that my friends is as much as I have to say on the matter.
