Sig 522

Back in March I had Doctor apt. Due to a fried Thyroid, great way to start off a morning.
Well, when I got dune I drove out to a small gun shop that I haven't been to in about 2 or 3 years.
While in the shop something cought my eye. They had a Sig Sauer 522 on the rack. It looked brand new, but had a sight mounted on it. I knew they don't come with sights, but the rifle just looked to good to be used. I asked my friend that worked there about the rifle. He told me that one of his customers bought 3 of them and then came back later and asked if they could sale one for him. He also said that the rifle had never been fired.
I asked to look at it and was shocked when I looked at the price tag. My friend then asid that he had the case with all the papers for it. I looked at the price tag again and said box it up. It was priced bellow wholesale.
I would have not gone to the shop if I didn't have to go to the doctor on that side of town.
I guess that going to the Doctor is not all that bad, sometimes.

I'll be damned. Reminds me of a .22 LR Colt I saw on a dealer's rack. It was marked "M16," I swear.

Looks like a great time to grab a few bargain bricks of .22 and a bag of old pop cans & head out to your shooting area!

Congrats on a great deal/find!

Took my business partner and his 15 year old son shooting last week. His son had never fired a gun and had a great time. The range had a 522 to rent and he liked the look, so we rented it.

It was 100% reliable, shot awesome groups and was lots of fun.

And that was with CCI Blazer lead.

I've had a 522 for a while now. It is by far the coolest .22 I've ever handled. Absolutely reliable and very accurate.

Local dealer here is one of the largest Ruger dealers in the nation and known him for many years and visited him to buy the Tactical version of the 10/22. Much to my amazement he handed me the Sig 522 and said this is the one you want to buy over all the others out there. Could not believe he would suggest something other than a Ruger, but did buy the 522 and as others have mentioned, one heck of a small bore rifle for the price. Some at the range have the various 15 versions, many have problems with them one way or the other. This Sig is well built, and simple to take down and shoots about anything fed to it with excellent accuracy. Been told the rifle was intended for training purposes for users of the 556 version. Lot of rifle for the money.

I have one and love it. It will shoot everything but Remington. They won't feed in it. I put a Bushnell red dot on it and it is a blast to shoot.

I have one and it shoots remming ton ... sorta you will have 2 or 3 malfunctions per 200 rounds... not to bad for a non combat gun. its eats the federal copper coated like candy though.
