Hi all. I have a marlin 795 that I absolutely love but I want to get a wood stock for it. I saw one from Numrich for a Marlin 70 (all 795 are always sold out) and my question is, I am sure I can fit the stock to the 795, but will the Last Shot Bolt Hold Open feature work still? I have read that it won't. I am not really sure why it wouldn't. I just need to clear some space for it I would think. Anybody know?

If you find one, let me know. I am making a LTR. I looked a year back and the only thing I found was very fancy. Thumbhole etc. I just want a plain one like they should be offering.
I found an old post on some other site saying a man made some at home but I never got an answer.

The 795 is just a Model 60 with a detachable magazine. Buy a Model 60 stock and open it up where the 795's magazine is.

I just bought a model 70 stock from Numrich. I see what happens. It was only 40 bucks. It will fit the action, from what they said, and will require a little modification.
