Got Me a 1941 Winchester Model 61

I have been looking for an old pump rimfire rifle for a couple of years and one of my neighbors offered this beauty to me for $400 and I snapped it up. I had a chance to shoot it today and it was a blast. Brought back memories of shooting for prizes at the local carnivals when I was a kid.

Nice! I love pump action .22's. I've got a couple of Winchester 1890's and a Remington 12C. Have fun with her.

I have a still new model 61 serial range 244K, made in the mid 50s that I traded a 32-20 1892 Winchester for about 30 years ago. I have never fired it and never will.

Sure is a nice looking rifle. I have had the same bug, every time I lay over on a flight I am scoping out the local gun shops looking for a deal. Best one I can come up with so far is a pump 22 for 800. I cant remember what model Remington it is but its an old one. Looks like an arcade rifle. One of these days I will get one. I wish I remember the ones we used to shoot in boyscouts. Man I remember it like it was yesterday. I would save up for weeks before we went to camp for boxes of bullets. Everyone else was buying candy I was buying ammo. LOL

Congrats on your purchase.
