| KelTec PMR 30 purchase
Well, I was on duty yesterday and wandered into my local fun shop and out walks a guy with a KelTec PMR 30 .22WMR pistol in the factory box. I walked up to the counter and asked the proprieter if they had any more and he said.............just one. Crap!
Well I got a code call so had to take off in a hurry but I wandered back a few hours later and there under the glass was his second PMR. Sigh, I guess it was just meant to be. Yes, it left the shop with me.
I put five rounds through it just for function and it was flawless. I did just happen to have a couple hundred rounds of the ammo that KelTec recommends so that worked out.
I'll post some pics whenever I get a chance to take some. Until then: http://www.keltecweapons.com/our-guns/pistols/pmr-30/ |

Range report when available. It sounds like a nice match for my wife who frowns on any recoil beyond 38 wadcutter target loads

I'd like to have one myself. Thirty rounds of .22 WMR in such a small package makes for a very formidable carry piece.

I've been pretty much "on the fence" regarding this gun but oh, man...I think that video did the trick. Still, I'll have to see some more feedback concerning reliability before I get one.

I like the .22 magnum cartridge and would have considered getting one of these but can't due to stupid Hi-cap restriction.

The muzzle flash reminds me of Robocop's gun. If this thing fired bursts and had a compensator it would be awesome. I have been on the fence about one of these too. It would be a good companion to the Marlin rifle I have in .22WMR.

I had the grand daughter out shooting a few days ago, .22's. She gave my S&W AR 15-22 a real workout. I put about 150 rounds of Bitterroot Valley Ammo's 40 grain HP's through the PMR30. It functioned flawlessly. Accuracy at 35 yards was very good. I think that I've found my ammo match!

Those look real slick. I'd love to shoot one some time.

Ouch, that would hurt, 31 times! Probably not so good for home defense at night, seeing how you would probably be blind after the 1st or 2nd round

I love the thought of 30 rounds of 22 magnum in one single mag....you could literally be loaded to the bone with only a few mags. How is the weight loaded/unloaded?

I got a chance to take a bfrief (VERY brief) look at one this weekend. Weight? What weight? The thing is as light as the proverbial feather. In person, it doesn't appear nearly as "toy-like" as a lot of the pics floating around the net make it look. The grip is surprisingly thin, seeing as how it holds a 30-rd magazine inside it; I'd probably have to put a Hogue "Handall" on it if I ever get one. Unfortunately, it already belonged to someone else.

Yeah, it is VERY light weight loaded or unloaded. I had one of my retired buds out to the range with me a few days ago and he loved it. He put about three mags through it and his comment was the it would shoot forever on one mag.......................... Now he needs one, too ;-)
