Looks like Mr Tam does very nice work. I have been a loyal Turner Saddelry guy for a long time, maybe next time out, I will place an order for one of these babies.

Ron Brown also makes an exceptionally beautiful, functional and strong leather sling...

Les Tam is a genius! And a darn good mathematician too! I have a few of his slings myself, worth every penny and second waiting for them. Les Tam is a well known name in Service Rifle groups and a legend at Camp Perry as one of the best sling makers (if not the best). Like all geniuses, Les has trained a few disciples to carry on his art. One of them is Ron Brown (Ron Brown slings) on the Atlantic coast. Ron's slings are A+ too, I have one of them. Just like the master himself!

I talked to him about three weeks ago to find out if he wanted the payment yet. Sorry to report he said he was about 2 months behind schedule. I should have ordered one in brown for my garland. I have it in black. After seeing the pics oh well. I like them anyway..

I bought the Turner for my tactical bolt gun but it ended up on my AR and it too is a quality piece. Numbered holes stays tight and since it is the Hathcock model the Gunnys family gets a piece of the profits. Still do love my Tam it will always be on the M1A

They are pretty special arent they? After reading about the brown one I added one to my order. Should only be another month maybe two. He is still a little behind. How about you did you get yours on time or a couple of months behind. Please don't think I am complaining at all.

Mr. Tam has been good with emails and updates, due to some personal/family issues, he's running VERY late on delivery.

Good News, Mr. Tam has delivered my new sling. I agree with the others, this thing is a work of art. Hopefully he put some X's into my keepers.

Kinda closer to topic, is there a perceived difference in how the Brown/Tam made slings maintain position on your arm? My Turner slides down my arm and since I really have to grip the forearm closer in to maintain proper NPA (on an AR) I have a little harder time in prone. Yet another reason why I'd like to give the M14 or M1 a try, since I seem to be able to use the front sling swivel as a handstop of sorts.
