I saw some people talking about Decot lenses so I thought I'd chip in because my family and I all wear them. There's a few other manufacturers such as Wiley X, and Randolph Engineering, but I have expierience with the Decots, so I'll talk about those.

Decot makes lenses for just about everything, whether its Rifles (scoped or non), shotgun, pistol, archery, even pool! For all of you old farts out there that can no longer see through their scope, these are what you're looking for. RNGR2

They carry a variety of different colored lenses for different environments and weather conditions, 40+. (For trap shooters this is vital, I own 6 different sets of lenses). However, they are not the cheapest pieces of glass out there. Last time I bought lenses I believe I paid 60$ for the pair. (non prescription)... but how much is your fun worth?

Oh, and I was surprised to see a picture of Dan Bonillas under the products page, I've shot with him several times in the past. GI5

Squint... squint....

Yeah, after I mentioned them in a post I called and they can pretty much custom grind the exact lenses I need for rifle shooting, with the necessary bifocal Rx positioned in the inner, upper quadrant of the lens. Then, their adjustable bridge model offers quick-replace lenses so I can have a pair that I fit with the one necessary shooting lens when I'm at the range, and then convert that one side back for driving home into the setting western sun!

I have found that I now have real problems seeing that front post sight, along with the target out at 1000 yards ( GI3 Funny, Rusty.... real funny!). I'm hoping my new DeCot Hy-Wyds will help, so that at least the front post is sorta in focus.

Then, look out in The Old Fart category at your local competition! Hey; you young-un's (i.e.: < 60...) may be in better shape than us, but we oldsters have... we have.... uhmmmm.... oh yeah... we have KNOWLEDGE. Oh, yeah... and STYLE! And pizzazz... (Oh nurse... could you help me with my diaper here please????)

So just watch out: you've been warned! DI2

Yea, they know what they're doing, and I have yet to hear a bad thing about them.

Props to you for even TRYING iron sights at 1000yds. RNGR3

I've been helping scout out a location with other club members to set up a 1000yd range. Should be done within the next few weeks, hopefully.

I know several people that wear them in daily life as well. All of them are "old farts" of course, so you should have no problem living up to that standard. RNGR2

We live in a desert highly populated by off-roaders, so our recent outings usually end up like this:

Biker 1: "Hey, what's that big water jug doing out here?"
Biker 2: "Not sure, lets go check it out."
*water jug explodes, bikers haul ass, and the police get called.*

So we're currently trying to find a place that isn't traveled that much.
