JacsXL has put together a spreadsheet that allows one to organize and keep track of the parts gathering process.
I've reviewed this file and think it would be very beneficial to anyone starting the gathering process for a build. Here's a partial screen shot of the file to give you an idea of what it does.
He has graciously offered it to anyone who wishes to have a copy. If you would like this please contact JacsXL via PM with your e-mail address and he will gladly e-mail you a copy of the file.
He also has the same for M1 Carbine and is willing, if need be, to make one for the Garand.GI2
PLEASE!!! When sending your request, please specify which spreadsheet you desire and PLEASE include your e-mail address!!!
To everyone who I have sent the spreadsheets to and to thoes who are requesting them, thank you for letting me assist your passion in wanting to build an M1A, M1 Carbine or a M1 Garand. I would like to take a moment and set a disclaimer:
Yes I pieced together my rifle. It was however assembled under the direct supervision of a qualified gunsmith. I will not take any responsibility should you assemble your rifle your self with out the supervision of a gunsmith.
That said, I will continue to hand out the files should anyone want them. Thanks.
