Have Federal Ordnance receiver #5085, marked M14A. Was all GI parts. Bought the rifle used in the mid 1990's. Receiver wasn't dimensionally correct and last year used the GI parts to build up another rifle on a Fulton Armory receiver.

Federal Ordanace S/N 5820

I have a Federal Ordanace rifle with S/N 5820. Marked M14A. It has all USG, H&R manufactured parts except the trigger which was manufactured by TRW. The barrel is chrome lined and also Harrington & Richards manufactured.

Late 1987 or early 1988, probably 1987

Thanks different, I pulled it apart and it has a h&r trigger group, and op rod. I'm guessing it was bought as a receiver. I'm new to the M1A/ M14 platform, but always wanted one! Thanks again.

I take possession of my first M1A in a few days. It's a M14SA #21014 (on your list), purchased on this forum.

I'll report back with more info after disassemble and inspection.

Checked parts on sn2308
HR trigger group and bolt, TRW op rod. Barrel marked MP with what looks like pin inside the P.

The pin punch dimple inside the proof P marking indicates the barrel was removed from a USGI M14 rifle, nothing more and nothing less should be inferred.

Fed Ordance list addition

Hello. Just joined forum. Glad I found it as I have never found a better source of info on M14's and M1A's.

I have a Fed Ordnance I bought in 1991.

Model # CSA14.
Ser# 50608

I think trigger assembly may be GI as it has a stamped serial # but all the other numbers I have found are engraved. So I guess it is for the most part a Chinese rifle.

Everything on it is original and is all standard. No match parts. Have only shot about 1500 rounds through it and never had a problem. Still able to shoot 2 inch groups or less at 100 yards with standard front and rear sights. And my eyes are not as good as they used to be.

Thought I would share this.

Thanks from Different
