I just recently stumbled onto this forum. Read through this thread and sent an e-mail off to Springfield Armory to get info on the two M1A rifles I have. Add the info to your data if you feel it is useful.
Serial Number 028260 - Built in November, 1983 as a standard M1A with GI stock and NM barrel.
Serial Number 062680 - Built in August, 1991 as a M1A-A1 Bush rifle with camo fiberglass stock.
