XXIV and I have been using the 100 yrd Military Target for match shooting and they are very affordable at National Target Company. You can get an order of 100 I believe for about 50.00 shipped.

Here are a list of the NRA approved target companies that make the correct targets for NRA High Power & CMP EIC matches. These are the best targets (golden standard) to zero your M14 with, especially if you can shoot past 100 yards. Also included are a few reputable vendors that sell targets too.

I still love the old classic IPSC Item targets.

when I was a teen i worked in a surplus store, the local guard unit came in after getting orders to deploy and one of the many things most were missing cleaning kits, or parts and pieces etc. I donated a few as I could afford, and helped them complete the kits they needed, most didnt even know what they needed...it was sad to see that. Good on you for doing what needs be done

These targets are still abundantly available. Never used anything then the IPSC item targets (even the newer ones). Obviously it wasn't what we shot at in a Hi-power/service rifle match, not the PALMA matches.

If it's iron sights, the good old bullseye's are fine. If you want to zero a scope I do have a couple of suggestions for better productivity and getting it zero'ed faster, not to mention testing the rifle and your ability to group the shots or even the mean radius with your rifle, ammo and skill set.

If iron, best to shoot it 6 o'clock.

Why does Pistoleer.com load as if it was a website coded in 1993?

Slow as molasses... 28k baud rate slow...
