Okay. In a conversation with the previous owner, the rear sight serrations were not milled properly and the rifle was sent back for repair. According to the SAI receipt of 05/18/06, the old receiver 185364 was replaced by new receiver 185394.
SAI reciever #161920 info already given to different as a jan 1/04 reciever was in fact headspaced 1/26/04 was replaced by SN #187785 in 04/23/07(repair invoice) due to mislocated spring guide pin location. The new reciever 187785 had to be refaced with a new bbl installed as well to index properly.
Additionlly they switched over or rather exausted thier supply (GI BBLs)from a letter i recieved from them beginning jan1/04 which is why my bbl wasnt chromelined when the still current advertising cliamed they in fact were.I was offered a different barrel of my own be installed for $75 rather than the norrmal $125 but since I was unable to even get a rifle from them that was capable of being fired until, 3 yrs after i purchased it i declined the offer.
PS Runs great now so SAI warranry work will come through eventually
My apologys for the date problem Different i ran across the original headspace tag/repair invoice this evening.I have all these communications if needed.
