Now I feel bad for telling this guy he was coming off like a little kid prancing around with a spaghetti strainer on his head. I thought I was being diplomatic... there was a lot I could have said. He personally responded to me by saying he adjusted the gas cylinder and improved accuracy to 2 MOA. Why he doesn't say that in the video or even acknowledge his mistakes with annotations (like he did with the C308) is very telling. He also bragged about his powers of deductive reasoning that lead him to adjust the gas system! It's all there still in the comments.

There is no way any M14 type rifle would have done well in his review. It could have been a tuned Super Match and he'd have still ruined the accuracy with the silly scope mount strategy (a mount on a mount on a couple of mounts. It's too high and yet it still blocks the iron sights. Really?) and of course his field phase adjustment of the gas cylinder timing.

The longer he keeps the video up, the more stupid he looks... so at least there's that. It's fun to see who shows up with either a comment of support (clueless followers) or utter exasperation (normal people).

Thanks from tonyben, mic52, hytekrednek and 1 others

Going to slightly disagree. The longer he keeps it up, the more chance he has of possibly 1) dissuading someone from buying a fine rifle and joining the thinning ranks of the 14 owners club or 2) teach some new guy who hasn't found this fountain of knowledge site bad info with the likes of "gas cylinder tuning".

A similar thing happen with a paintball platform that was new to me. Went to YouTube to check videos with people more knowledgeable on the subject. Fortunately, I found a video like Tony's that was well done and thorough. Had I stumbled on something like this guy, I may not have been so lucky. Bad information is still bad information whether it's in regard to guns, home crafts or how to make pasta sauce. The only service this guy provides by keeping it up is to boost his view count.

I stand corrected. Those are more important points than just the reputation of one youtube warrior.

It's a mistake I make a lot... just seeing what's in front of me and not thinking outside of my own agenda.

Welp... looks like I can't make any further comments on that video. I guess the spaghetti strainer comment went too far and hurt his feelings.

He sure is sensitive.

Wasn't an attempt to correct you my friend. Just my take, which when combined with a quarter, may get you a gum ball.

I'm amazed that he hasn't modified or taking down this video. If I was him I'd learn from my mistake and fix it.

...you can't fix stupid I guess... (Shrug)

It is just scary that people like this are putting up videos... It is more harmful than helpful, that is for sure.

I have to admit I was speechless when he began his tirade....I did watch the entire video and found myself ducking as he waved the loaded M1A around. I would not be surprised if he was a Hillary Clinton supporter that has infiltrated the ranks.....

Ordnance21XX (shhhhh kaaaa) he is (shhhhh kaaaa) YOUR FATHER!

I have been having an endless pointless battle with some guy named "Patches O" in the comments. 49% of me wants to just stop because my mind tells me this is a pointless battle and this "Patches O" guy is a lost cause. And the other 51% chugs me along unable to falter or budge in the defense of the M14.

This guy is literally like a parakeet. He just keeps peeping the same crap over and over again. Something about how you cant build an acurized m14 ebr for less than 3000-5000 dollars. And I proved him wrong just the other day. And even though he accepted defeat because he changed the subject he keeps repeating it to other people. And also some crap about wandering zeros which I have never encountered even on an old busted shot out polytech. I keep asking him to explain but he doesn't. And something about how cast m14 receivers are pot metal garbage. Even though there has never been a failure of a M1A receiver that wasn't caused by the user (I,E handloads containing pistol powder) It is like trying to lead a brain-dead, blind horse, with no legs to water. You may as well just use the horse as an investment in glue and Alpo dog food at that point.

His logic = The M14 is inaccurate, unreliable, shifts in zeros constantly, costs 5000$ to accurize, gas plug backs out faster than a babysitters boyfriend when the parents show up, cast receivers will blow up in your face unless you use DAG plastic training ammo, and you have to reservice and rebarrel it after every single shot only by a gunsmith who he says isn't going to because they are all going to be gone because of the new tariff gunsmiths have to pay.

Thanks from tonyben, mic52, hytekrednek and 1 others

I hope he has some good insurance.

So someone that refuses to learn proper use and care of a rifle, is now going to teach people, for a fee of coarse. I just hope no one gets hurt from listening to this ignorant, greedy, fool. BUYER BEWARE!

When he said that Century worked with PTR and used Cetme kits to build the Centurion I knew then it was a waste of my time. I watched maybe one half minute after that. He knows nothing.
