Question Acronyms what the

I have no Military background and little experance with gun jargon and find myself expending too many brain cells trying too figure out Acronyms. Mod's can we get somethin going on this that can be added to, as I do not know much about computers, or the diffrence between Blogs,Post, threads,Tags.
Is it possible that responders can just add to this list with out entering a new tag, thred or post. Just punching keys and hope things work.
Thanks.

Acronyms can definitely be over-used...
Some may have more than one meaning...
i.e.; #8. LOL...More often is used as 'Laugh Out Loud', not 'lots of luck'.
Personally I think that unless the Title of the Thread, or the Link or the context of the post makes it very clear, or the acronym is completely obvious, such as U.S. or G.I., it may be better to omit that acronym.
And when a poster wants to use the same acronym multiple times, just 'define' it the first time(Smith Enterprises-SEI)and then it will be clearer from then on.

FWIW
YMMV

I found this thread while looking for something else. thought it might be helpful to someone.

http://www.acronymfinder.com/

I had to look at this pretty often after first getting involved in gun forums, and some of them are quite amusing, especially when they can have more than one meaning.
