Norinco M14 Serial Number Database - North America
This is a discussion on Norinco M14 Serial Number Database - North America within the Reference forums, part of the M14 M1A Forum category; Congratulations, kiwi68. Yes, that is a February 1994 date....
Have a Norinco (previous owner stated) that has only a serial number 91534 on the left side of the receiver at the rear. It also has the same number stamped under the scope screw hole just under the stock but looks like this (9 15 34). Is this a real Norinco or not? Thanks.
I bought a used Norinco at a gun show. I purchased it primary as a learning tool. Head space is correct and throat wear is within tolerances so I may shot it later on.
Marking on the top rear of the receiver are:
M14 SPORTER
NORINCO CHINA
C.A.I. ST ALB VT
The Serial # on the left side of the receiver is C08590
The trigger housing assembly is electro pencil marked on the upper left side 046938. The #'s are upside down.
Numbers on left side of receiver below stock line are 3 10 59 14 18.
From what I have learned reading this thread is the Manufactured date November 1993?
I have a norinco i think? never shot it. i think it's new. here is the info on it.
marked on barrel m14 sa sporter cai st albany
left side of reciever is marked with s# 942XX no other marking or numbers that i have found so far. the flashider was cut off and crowned the nut for the sight has a small tack weld on it. bought this recently for a decent price but it looks like it could use a few replacement parts.
Just bought a M14 for 1000 in a private sale. IT came with 5 thermo mags, 1 USGI 5rd, 1USGI 10rd, 1 USGI 20rd. 4 30 rd something. Soft case junky hard case and 400 rounds of ammo 200 brass 200 steel case. The rifle has a strong SN strike on the left side of the RCV'r 1859XX no makers Mark. The CAI import is ST ALB VI. Could anyone give me a bornm date??? All parts are electro penned, bolt rod ect. The usual clintonian bobbed suppressor, a freakin roll pin in place of the set screw, communist BS!
Could anyone give me a born date? Also I need a source for a tapered roll pin that holds the rod guide in place. The seller said "I shot the sh*t outta it!" I just got the cosmoline off and outta it. I was in the ARMY in the 80s using a 700 BDL, gi reens got the cool stuff. Any help hints anything about this rifle i will appreciate. I am a tech ROCK I don't know what a http is or I would load some pix.

Weren't the first batches of these norinco m14's have USGI parts in them? Mine appears to be unshot or hardely shot still new looking with a USGI trigger in it already.Someone said before that some of these were built with USGI surplus parts.

Incorrect, Chinese M14 rifles were built with Chinese (not Taiwanese or US or Korean) manufactured parts at State Arsenal 356, Kunming, Yunnan, People's Republic of China.
