Also, on the underside of the bolt engraved into it as-well as into the trigger group are the numbers "9188"

Thank you for the data points. Your receiver was manufactured in March 1994. The bolt and trigger housing were likely made in the 1980s or 1990s because the numbers match the receiver.

Just received mine. Marked C08100 on the left side of the receiver and the usual M14 Sporter markings on the heel. On the left front of the receiver under the woodline are the numbers: 3 10 56 20 18. Any idea when mine was made? Mine came with the neutered flash hider that had the castle nut tack welded in place. The chicom chrome lined barrel is nice with a TE of less than 1. I have since installed a USGI flash hider, trigger group, walnut stock, and fiberglass handguard. Next is the GI bolt conversion!

The receiver was manufactured in October 1993.

Wink Lucky at Estate Auction need SN info

Last week I high bid on a Norinco M14 Sporter. I have been doing good as I also got a Norinco 45 ACP and an auto ord 45 at recent estate auctions. I have many rifles in my C&R collection but not an M-14. I did my Basic in 1966 with a brand new TRW (I think) M-14. I had one issued the first time I was in VN but havn't touched one since. Really brought back some old memories taking it down. OK, now the good stuff! all parts were in near new condition with still traces of cosmoline and grease. The bolt face had nearly no primer ring and wiped off with a oily rag. The soft stock is near unscratched but several very small dents. The numbers are: Receiver C00679, the Lotto #s 10 30 26 2, bolt is 0/0561, the Trigger Gp 03775, and the stock is 035775. I am curious as to what the mix matched numbers reveal. Also the false FS has been removed at the castle nut. I am looking forward to getting out to the range with this and some other new stuff I picked up lately.

got a new heel stamp lottery # Norinco ! Left side of the receiver that is below the wood stock reads "9 14 46", the trigger is stamped "01008" and engraved on the underside of the bolt is "28328" and then a faint marking of "26931" to the left of the other marking.
Different, if possible could you give me the info on my rifle?
You are a treasure to the community!
Riley

Riley, any markings on the left side of the receiver above the stock? What are the markings on the receiver heel?

The receiver was manufactured in September 1990. The rifle was imported by Century Arms International (then Montreal, QC). In the US market, it was sold as a M14 Sporter.

Heel marked:

The receiver was manufactured at State Arsenal 356 in May 1990. The bolt and trigger housing, and most likely the remaining parts, were manufactured at State Arsenal 356 before 1966. The rifle was shipped from China to Century Arms International at (then) Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The rifle was imported into the United States by Century Arms most likely after November 1990. If so, it is subject to the foreign parts count requirements for domestication.
