I'll take 4 of these. I'm in California but we no restrictions on these at all.
I'm in Ventura County and they could care less. In somme of our counties they are prohibited.

You cannot send these to Cali, NY and a couple other places. It's illegal.

From link above. I would think 44mag.com knows what they're doing.
Purchase repair kit. (+$1.49ea) This option only applies to some customers in CA, HI, MA, MD, NJ, & NY. More info.
From "More info." link:
Repair kit disclaimer:
There are currently no federal restrictions on the sale of high capacity magazines, but several states do have their own restrictions. Repair kits may be shipped to states with high capacity magazine bans. This allows customers to repair magazines that they already legally own.
California: Any magazine over 10 round capacity cannot be sold and only repair kits will be shipped.

Hi!
Do you know if it is legal to export hicap mags taken apart as repair kits ? I live in Norwayn wich has no restrictions on hicap mags... (or suppressors;)) It's so difficult to find GI spec mags in Europe. bad aftermarket mags on the other hand is sold by several shops...
If it is legal I will be happy to buy some (up to six), and pay for shipping.
Regards,

CMI 20/25 round mags can be sent to California as "repair kits". Just remember... if a civilian gets caught with intact high capacity magazines in California... ANYWHERE in California even their own home for instance... they can (and probably will be) held in violation of the law. Just FYI.

There is nothing in violation of the law regarding the posession of a high capacity magazine in CA provided you posessed it prior to the ban taking effect.
Per CA DOJ Quote: |
Effective January 1, 2000, SB 23 generally prohibits, the manufacture, import, sale, giving or lending of large capacity magazines (defined as any ammunition feeding device with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds, but does not include .22 caliber tube ammunition feeding devices).

Per CA DOJ
Link: http://oag.ca.gov/firearms/sb23indx | My response is correct given the reality of the situation. Most buyers are unable to prove their high capacity magazines were built AND obtained prior to the cut-off date... especially when confronted by law enforcement "on the spot".
So you try to talk yourself out of a court date, and having your high capacity magazines confiscated from you, when you encounter law enforcement in a public setting (with your high capacity magazines in hand).
Very few... and I mean VERY FEW... cops understand the ever changing firearm laws here in California. They are well within their right to confiscate high capacity magazines if the owner (of said magazines) is unable to verify (on the spot) when they obtained their magazines and/or when their magazines were manufactured.
Guess what happens when these "questionable" magazines are confiscated by law enforcement? They're booked into property for destruction. This means their owner has but a short window of time to obtain and provide proof of legal ownership (before their items are melted down). Good luck with that.
As I said... someone CAN be held in violation of the law. I think I'll play it safe and not tempt fate... at least not in California.
