It has ALL USGI parts, 1962 H&R chromelined barrel, NM sights, Sadlak op rod spring guide, piston and Tubb springs, unitized gas system. It's my favorite ! GI6
After sanding and steel wool, a light red walnut stain and then one coat of Tru Oil. It's still got a wood feel to it. I had another stock that was coated 6 times and was too slick and shiney for me. I like it to look like a battle rifle, not a wall hanger that I'm afraid might get a ding or scraped.
It looked very plain when I got it. The company described it as having some striping under all the grunge so I took a chance and bought it.
It's amazing what some EasyOff oven cleaner will reveal.
I'm pleased with it.
Thanks for the compliments everyone.GI1
