Here's some pix of my Norinco M-14. The only parts left on the rifle that are Norinco are the barrel and receiver:

-barrel shortened to 18.75" and properly indexed
-Smith Direct Connection Vortex Flash Suppressor
-USGI TRW Bolt lapped and headspaced
-Gas System shimmed and proper indexed
-Rooster33 "Navy" Front Sight.
-Rear Aperature enlarged
-Rooster33 Op Rod Spring Guide
-USGI Op Rod Spring
-Rooster33 Tactical bolt Release
-USGI Fiberglass stock with Custom MARPAT Digital Camo
-Custom made USGI Dummy Selector Switch with Modified Norinco Op Rod (Gun-Koted OD)
-Desert Warrior Products cheek rest
-A.R.M.S. 18 scope mount
-Trijicon Accupoint 3x9 scope
-Harris BRM (6-9) bipod
-Specter Gear 3 point sling (not in photo)

Canadians prefer clubs to rid the world of excess sealage. Nice Score on the price. I had a local gunsmith build up my M1A using a highland defesnse receiver, SA bbl and op rod. Everything else is NM. Its current color is black on black. It resembles your 3 canadian heaters. Awesome!

There are some great looking rifles on here. I really don't want to sell anything of what I've got to buy a M1A or M14 but the more I dig though posts the more I want one.

BigJ, can't get hung up on what you have. Let it go son.
I hear ya.
I sold 2 CMP Garand builds and an FN-49 along with a couple of other projects to buy just 1 M1A.

When I got my M1A it had a black fiberglass stock. I decided I wanted to try my hand at painting the stock, so I chose a Tiger Stripe design. I'm rather happy with it.
