M1A NM, Many Are Like it, But This One Is Mine

This is my Springfield Armory NM, M1A.
1. Arms#18 scope mount, modified for better ejection.(see gun smithing)
2. Harris bipod (see gun smithing)
3. Springfield Armory 6-20x56 illuminated scope, Vortex tactical rings, on on an ARMS#63 3/4" throw lever riser, modified for better ejection.
4.MRT sling
5.M1Surplus.com cheek pad
Note: I used high rings to allow my Caldwell brass catcher to fit. The scope is still @ 3" above bore. Shoots fine.🇺🇸

Nice looking outfit. Does your riser get you high enough for a good view in the scope?

That's a beautiful setup. One of the biggest scopes I've ever seen. I don't see wear on the platform or mags. Do you shoot it much.?

That's a great looking rifle, looks just like my Loaded when I first got it, I had one of those SAI scopes but I had a GEN 3 mount. I really liked that scope, worked well for me for almost 15 years until I decided I needed to upgrade for longer range.

I use MC-2500 oil, 25B grease. Mil.comm That keeps all the smileys off my pistol bbls. The Garands don't sit and smoke during a cease fire. The point I'm trying to make is, my stuff gets shot, but this lube has kept the wear down.
I shoot this thing OK. Cheek weld could be better. The scope is high for using the brass catcher. Lower rings could be used to bring the "Hubble" down a lot.
Thank you for your kind words.
