Picture #2 "US Leatherneck"... what the bloody hell was the idea behind those "armored boots"? Beach incursion so they'd sink deeper into the wet sand? Rock climbing so they'd have no traction and slip off and fall? Seriously... those make no sense whatsoever.

Other than that shot - very cool, I've never seen any of those before anywhere.
