Took this photo on my range 3 weeks ago, just so you remember what they are supposed to look like.
Thanks really nice CT. buck. I do remember what they look like although so far this season mine have not had any head gear. That's okay though as we are meat hunters first.

Thanks everyone for the rifle praise. I will post new pic when I get the low rings. Gotta get over to Cabellas. Probably Leupold rings. They have a lot of Warn which are nice but I dont care for the ring being split the way they do it. I am open to cheek pad suggestions!

Man, I really feel for you. That is horrible. I fear CWD too. It has not shown up here but is in other states nearby.

I have leupold mark 4 medium rings on my m25 with a mark4 10x40 scope, with rear sight bottomed out the tube is about .125" above sight.

Thanks for the pics there Six Clicks
Looks like the Leupold Med is a little less than my mediums.
I'm thinking if the lows work it will be tight.. but they may work. If so I shouldn't need a pad. Is there a ghost image from the front site at either end of the magnification range?

Nice setup. Mine's fairly new and similar (though M14SA, not M25):
New LRB Tanker (second M1A)

Good advice gleaned from this post that should help my setup too (the oil for the stock, especially). I knew it'd need something, eventually, but hadn't researched it yet.

Check out these rings from Midway USA http://www.midwayusa.com/product/876...le-rings-matte
They're lower than most and much easier to calculate which height you'll need because the dimensions are measured from the top of the base contact to the bottom of the inside of the scope ring. Using your current set up take measurements of the front and rear scope bells and power adj. ring for clearance to determine the minimum ring height. I was able to drop my scope ring height by 1/4" with a Leupold MK4 LR/T 30mm tube and 50mm objective which gave me a better cheek weld with a GI M14 stock.

Yeah, those are what I'm looking for.
I gotta get the rings soon. Between work and hunting haven't had any time.
Gonna be cold getting it dialed in during Dec.

All the tenderloin is eaten :) first to go. That's okay, lotta meat left. I wanted to grab another turkey w bow but they all seemed to move off my areas to their winter areas.
Spots in Oct where I would see flocks every day don't have 1 bird now. You know how it is....

Thanks from nf1e

Midway sells out quickly on these rings but usually gets them back in stock within 30 days. This is the lowest price I've seen them at.

The tenderloins are always the first to go and never have the chance to partake. Tho I like my venison roast recipe, had the chance to do a couple of roasts donated by my boss after being venison less for 5 years. It was heaven for a Sunday meal and leftovers.

Thanks from TRAPPERXX
