GunWorks Of L.A. Official Picture Thread

I have started this thread so the few of us who have these will have a place to post these fantastic M14Rifles/receivers.

Those of you lucky enough to have one please post pictures!

I would like to start this off with a few pictures of CircleHook's all H&R M14, she is a beauty.

Thanks from pigpen, Deacon, Defiant001 and 3 others

This all TRW major parts build is down in North Carolina and will be here in a couple more weeks barring any other delays.

I really hate that they had to close shop. Would've loved to get one once I had the money.

Those Rifles look very nice!! I was fortunate enough to buy one receiver from them. its a shame that they went out of business. Hope fully someone will be able to get the machinery that is for sale and pick up where GWLA left off. I have not seen a better built m14 receiver, Bar None!!!

Thanks from XM25Ren and hardheaded

Haha. You're not the first to comment on the flooring. It's actual hardwood. Beyond that, I've got nothing.

I guess I missed the boat. I put the purchase of one of their receivers on the back burner.

Here's mine. It's one of the later receivers which has Gunworks of L.A. on two lines instead of one.

So far I've tested an op-rod, rear sight and trigger group (all in-spec) and everything fit as it should. My two USGI bolts, including the NOS one I just got from Sam (sdayton1) fit with no binding. I've also tried two SAI bolts (2008 and 2012 production) and one would not rotate into place.

I also tried out my ARMS #18 rail, which made contact at only the vertical and horizontal grooves, which a <1mm gap between the rear mounting point and stripper clip base, which is perfect. The rail itself was horizontally parallel to the sides of the receiver.

Anyway I'm quite happy with this receiver so far! Of course I won't be able to draw any full conclusions until it gets built into a rifle.

Thanks from Deacon and XM25Ren
