Is your profile picture another "hunting" picture too? Good catch there also!

Well I just found out from our local Hunters/Trappers Org that polar bear season opens November 1, 2013 at 6am and there are 4 OPEN tags so I gotta get ready now and leave right away and hopefully fill one of the open tags before anyone else. 3 more tags are also going to be put in a lotto system so going to enter my name as well. I will be hunting polar bear with my Springfield M1A. ;)

p.s. if I get one I'll be sure to post pics! ;)

Thanks from merlyn

Man... now I want to go hunting... I am craving me some moose meat. Trying to convince my friend to go Moose and black bear hunting with me up in Maine next year.

Haven't been able to shoot a deer this year (not from lack of trying!), but did get a chance to shoot the lightweight M1A for the first time in a long while...photographically at any rate.:

Flash hider slots have been quite suseptible to rust. The first time out into the moistness they turned quite orange in a few hours. Otherwise, a little Slip EWL has done a fine job at corrosion protection with less "stink" than Eezox.

That tiny TA33 ACOG works well, even if it does need some protection from the rain. Very forgiving eye relief and fast to get on target. But very few targets of opportunity this year!

Thanks from MAC702 and budster
