Millett DMS scopes.

[quote]What is the fat to meat ratio on a seal? Do you have any uses for the fat? Interesting and cool. Thanks

In fall time after feeding all summer they get real fat ... not sure but this guy was approx 4 inchs of fat before we cut into the meat. We use the fat to burn on traditional lantern stove called a qulliq(koodlick) which was used for lighting, cooking and heat back in the day.

Here's a couple pics of my muskox hunt ... here I am with my Springfield M1A.

My friend Kyle with his muskox which he also shot with my M1A as my norinco I loaned him froze up.

We saw a herd of approx 30+

Beautiful photo!

I cant find the other hunting thread, but I was able to get out today and help a buddy with his extended late season cow elk hunt today. Went straight from work and headed up on the mountain. The fog/inversion was thick in the valley, but on the mountain it was beautiful. We saw about 60 head of elk right up above Salt Lake, bit the majority of them were over 2 miles away and we knew the elk would work their way closer as the snow brings them down from the higher elevations. We did see a nice bull all by himself but unfortunately we only had the cow tag. I love having these amazing buggers so close to my place and nobody knows about it.
