Galati double rifle case. Sidearm in one side, rifle in the other and spare mags in carriers in the outer pouch. Toughest "soft case" I've ever seen bar none.

When I was attached to AMTU #1 at Ft. Meade, my shooting partner had a TR7, and we'd put a 14 on each side of both seats... sights up, in a soft case. Total of four rifles. We had to shoot one rifle on Saturday and the other on Sunday. When we got back to the Unit, we'd turn those in and get another one for the next week's training. Repeat.
On the range, I just (as my Drill Sergeant called it) John Wayne'd it (slung across my back).

I normally have one pistol in my pocket, one on my belt in a holster, one in the console, a shotgun or two in the truck and a safe that holds eight rifles in the back.
If I have more that that with me I just lay them on the back seat.
Thankfully I live in TN and travel mostly to MS.
Travel to South Dakota twice a year - never been bother.

I intercepted a new P #1750 before it went to the dumpster.
A company obsoleted that size and I said I have a use for it.
Now to plan the cutout in the foam.

Now to plan the cutout in the foam. | You really need to think waaay into the future if you plan to glue the foam down...just FYI. i dont regret my cut but i should have waited until it was 100% complete, my rife that is.

Here is a thought...
Why is it that most people that have a hard case, like a Pelican, cut out the foam, and have their Optic sight toward the bottom of the case????
The Optic is the most fragile part of your weapon system.
The Optic should be UP, toward the handle of the hard case.
