What did you use to get your serial number and manufacturer stamp white? I think that white stamping is one of the sharpest looking aspects on the rifle! Thu the wood stock is certainly capitol!

That's the beauty of the M14 platform. You can go "old school" like me, or "Modern" like you, or anywhere in between. . And they'll all Kick Butt!!!

I called the owner and talked to him and had him modify this setup to include 1911 mag pouches on the front of each of the m14 pockets. I had it done a couple years ago so I don't know how long it'll take him to make you guys one. Mine was done in a week and a half. There's a note on his homepage now that says 5-8 week delay due to heavy loads.
Give him a call though, he's a real nice guy and you WON'T be disappointed with the quality and craftsmanship of his gear. Top notch.

Sorry i have no 16'' barreled m1a/m14 yet. but i do like the 16'' barrels on my other rifles so far. They seem lighter and much easier to throw around.

My only 16'' barrels are on my russian izhmash saiga in 308win and in 223rem. and my chinese norinco sks paratroopers and my sks sporter that takes ak mags. The 16'' barrel on my 308win saiga does handle it better than i thought it would with a short barrel and light rifle. Bill
