3 piece hi lux mount

Is anyone using one of these mounts on their rifle?
I'm considering buying one and am looking for opinions on it vs. the traditional see under mount. in particular, is it still easy to use the iron sights?
The mount looks appealing to me because it's so low on the receiver.
Any other suggestions are welcome, except sadlak or sei, I am familiar with them.

What's the catalog or model number you're referring to? This is a Leatherwood Bros. product, yes?

I have had one for about 6 years. It is a very good mount. All steel, sits super low, and is very adjustable.

I recently dug mine out to try on my Armscorp. The rifle shoots sub MOA with iron sights, so I figured it would be a fine scoped rifle. It is the lower rifle in this pic.

It is in a JAE G2, and has an IOR 6x42 on it currently.

I glued the adjustments in place after getting it all worked out.

And it was really cheap, too. Not much more than $100 ($125?), if I remember right.
