Also, Those individuals with astigmatism will notice a fuzzy or oblong dot--on any red dot, but especially on the one or two MOA dots. Just fyi.

I received authorization by email for the retail price I paid (+ sales tax) from EoTech to return all three of mine within a couple of days of submitting my request online. I received the instructions with the authorization and they were shipped last Saturday by FedEx.

Let's see how long it all takes from here...

For those of y'all wondering, sounds like they are in fact cutting checks, and not "store credit" or somesuch.

Here's a reply a student of mine got:

Hello *****,
We are working on refunds as fast as we can. It should not be too much longer, we have only been doing these for a few weeks considering the Holidays. Your refund will come in a reasonable time as we are processing all these right now.

Verification of everyone’s sight is a manual process and would not be possible to respond to all of the requests so we ask you save your tracking information.
My understanding is the refund center will send you an email just before the check is issued
You will be receiving a check for your refund amount.

Anyone gotten a refund yet? I don't like the idea of sending mine in and not having a optic on my rifle for who knows how long.

The problem with trying to do a dope card is I'm not sure how consistent that shift change is, since it's a problem with the electronics of the unit itself and not a result of a change in air density.

If you're following the posts above, you will see that the refund process is gonna to take a while, for the reasons already enumerated.

You are right by not sending yours in. Aside from being naked w/o an optic, you could be giving up legal rights, dependent on your state. Let's see if we are getting an actual refund. I am not sue happy and would be satisfied with cash, but, fraud is an issue here and responses from the company have been vague. As far as I know, fraud has no statue of limitation's and they have deep pocket's. Stay calm!

Eotech Refund format

In discussions at a local gun store this week I have been told the refund Eotech is issuing for returned products is in the form of a credit for future Eotech products. I cannot confirm this as I did not personally see the "check" (credit memo) from Eotech that the gentleman said he received. I see no gain for the person I was talking with to not tell the truth.

As I have an Eotech 557 (mnfg late 2007/early 2008) on my M4 I have been waiting for someone to post proof that the refund is real cash (check) and not a just credit for more of the same. I am looking hard at a Comp4s as a replacement.

At this point it is still a wait and see for me on the return response from Eotech.

Can anyone post a scan of a letter, check, and/or credit memo received from Eotech for a recent return?

That's the same video that I previously linked above.

Everything I have heard has been that they will issue a check for cash, made out for the value confirmed in the email they sent you.

Haven't rec'd funds back yet, but I did pick up the Trijicon MRO and love it so far---bright and very sharp dot, surprisingly wide picture for such a small optic. The windage and elevation settings are smooth but a very light and barely discernable "click", so you really need to pay attention when making adjustments. But other that, seems to be a very good optic and...of course it's made by Trijicon and seems to be same build quality and ruggedness as their ACOG/VCOG line. I have my current one on my newest AR build and will probably buy a second for my SOCOM.
