I have more than one. Never had a problem. They've been and 20 to 110 degrees with no shift.

They will take any eotech sight back. Doesn't matter if you're the original owner or not. They ask how much you paid.

I put my RMA request in on the 3rd and received a response today authorizing the return of my 512 for the full MSRP of $459 plus $15 for shipping. I'm not the original purchaser of the eotech and have had it since about 2012 so I gave it a shot. So far so good!

Same here. Very quick approval and I sent it back.
I have a brand new Scopecoat for the 512 I anyone is keeping there 512.

Question

I have an EoTech 512 and there is "fuzz' AROUND THE DOT. AT ANY RANGE OF EYE RELIEF...I can't believe this is normal. I have always shot iron sights and know literally nothing about red dots, Eotech or otherwise. Please advise.

That seems to be the norm, but is less apparent when you focus on a target at distance, don't focus on the halo itself.

Got my authorization email to return on Friday, sent it in today, Monday.
Asked for a refund. Hopefully they'll send a check soon!

So my Eotech has been custom painted, of course not the lens, hope that dosnt matter in the return process. After doing some more reading on the topic it seems refunds are taking quite a while. I think I will wait and see what happens until I send in a request. I just hope they don't run out of money first!

Paint/Cerakote/etc doesn't matter. They will issue the refund.

Eotech is currently hand sorting every optic that comes in because there are so many Chinese-made knockoffs out there. So, it'll take a little while.

Eotech is owned by L3 Communicstions, a MULTI-billion dollar corporation. Go ahead and send in your Eotech and get in line, the money will be coming.
