Need so help here. I have a scope with 19.5 Mils of travel and use about 14 mils to zero. The mount is a Sadlak Airborne and I am wondering is there a way to get more down base out of the mount and about how much?

Valken, I'm sorry but I don't know exactly what you mean by "down base" Explain please. thanks

If you are referring to windage, this mounting addendum may help. This picks up from the point where you have the hex screw finger tight and goes on to final steps. I always think of this procedure in the way I think of tightening the lugs on a wheel, in sequence and in small increments

IF YOU ARE HAVING INSTALLATION PROBLEMS
After the initial scope mount installation, if you are having a problem of being off center, running out of adjustment, etc, please try to re-install the mount.
Start with the cam washer tab at 9 o’clock.
With hex screw finger tight (very light) push mount forward until it contacts the underside lobe on the cam washer.
Now push the front of the rail down with light pressure (the rear should rise slightly).
Next tap the tab CW - tab will go to about 10 o’clock and hex screw will tighten at same time. Back off hex screw slightly and tab again. Each time you tap the tab, the mount will move back toward the angle face.
Repeat as many time needed until the mount just touches the stripper clip guide angle face.
Insert stripper clip guide - just to make sure it will slid in. If not try tapping tab more to ride mount a little more up the angle face. Remember to always have the hex screw snug during the tapping procedure.
Once stripper clip guide slides in easy and the middle socket screw will start to thread in, tighten the hex screw to 65 in-lbs
Now final torque the middle soc screw into the stripper clip guide to about 35 in-lbs.
Set the front set screw per original instructions
Bring to range and test it out.
Thanks for your patience

There is not enough elevation in the scope. I am using 14 mils of elevation for zero, which equals about 48 MOA. With that amount of elevation used it only leaves me with about 5 or so Mils or about 17 MOA to dial. Down base is were I get 20, 30 or 40 MOA out of the base and then I can use the the scope to its fullest adjustment. I really only need to get about 11 or 12 mils of travel. So in summary the down base would be where the mount would slope (for lack of a better word) front to back IE: the front of the mount would be angled down and the back of the mount would be higher than the front. I hope I made sense?
