Scope choice question

Couple of Questions? Been looking at these 2 scopes (BattleZone 3-9 and the Bushnell 10X Tact). Just how accurate are the range dial ups on the Battlezone? Are they really worth having or do you dial say 500 yds then have to make 3 more clicks on the elev knob? Do I understand it right that the Bushnell Tact has much more finer click adjustments than the 1/4 MOA on the Battlezone? Any opinions on having a 10X fixed over a variable? My main use will be to check ammo accuracy at 100 yds then playing out to 600. Many thanks.

I don't like either scope, I prefer scopes that are setup for Mil Dots both in their adjustment and reticle increments.

As for fixed vs. variable, it all depends on what you plan on doing with the scope. For maximum paper punching precision I like as high of magnification as I can get but for hunting and field use high magnification produces a smaller field of view and it makes it harder to find your target. A variable scope allows you to have both but variable scopes have more parts and therefor more things that can break.

The bushnell is mil-mil and an excellent scope for the price. The SWFA super sniper lineup is good too, perhaps a bit better because you get a parallax focus and more adjustment range. If you can spend a bit more, say 500-600, there are some scopes that are much better though. Better image quality, more features.

The only 10x fixed that I found on Bushnell's site was this one and they show that it uses .25 MOA clicks on their adjustments.
