Best Cheap Red-Dot sight.

Hi all,
I'm looking to add a red-dot sight to one of my air rifles. The front and rear irons on it are damaged, and I don't want to go through the time, effort, and money in returning them back to original glory.

I'm throwing in the towel and buying a red-dot. I'm sure it will also end up doubling as a backup sight for one of my firearms.

Is there a good make and model you recommend? I know EOtech and Aimpoint are the best, but there's no way I'm dropping that kind of loot (too rich for my blood!).

I'm thinking $100-150 is the absolute max I want to spend! Also, PM me if you have a good used one that you could part with.

What do you think of Bushnell? What model?

Appreciated.

i vote for bushnell TRS-25 can be had for under $80 new.

I have 2 of them, one on my sks bullpup and one on my remington 870. holds zero, and its super bright on max, too bright even for sunny texas noon.

Thanks from CAresistance and dozier

Primary Arms Micro Dot. I run them on several of my AK's (7.62 and 5.45) and a dedicated .22 AR. Hands down the best little red dot for the money. Get the one with the removable base and you can add a riser if necessary.

The Bushnell TRS-25, the Primary Arms red dot, or the Vortex Sparc. All are good cheap choices. Each has it's cons.

Bushnell - You can't remove the base

Primary Arms - Hard to find

Vortex Sparc - Lots of green tint on the lens

Thanks from CAresistance

TRS-25 on my SOCOM II. Plenty of great reviews on YouTube.

Also heard great things about the Vortex, but only have experience with their scopes.

Thanks from CAresistance

I've heard great things about Vortex and Primary Arms as far as budget equipment is concerned.

I would vote vortex because you can buy one used and its now covered under the VIP warranty. I did that from one on EBay and it didn't work so I sent vortex an email saying I bought it second hand and it wasn't working. They got back to me no joke within 12 hours ( sent the email Friday night) and they got back to me Saturday morning saying just send it back and we will see what we can do. So I sent it back and before my scope even arrived I received a brand new scope. That's customer service if you ask me and since then I have even sold on their optics ever since!!!!!
