american defense mount for 34mm premire heritage?

i want to use a qd american defense mount. i have read alot of good things about adm.

- i have a premire hereitage 3-15x with a 34mm tube and 50mm objective that i need to mount on a vltor cas-v m14 rail ( basicaly a long top rail just like the one on your ar platform) i want to get the 50mm objective as close to rail as i can to help out with the m14's cheek weld. it needs to be low ....almost touching the rail with the obective lens while leaving one or two milometers clearance for caps. also the premeir is vey large in the turret area so the american defence mount would need enoungh space inbetween its rings to accomodate the large premire

New Vltor Rail...

the optic mounts on the back of the rail...so you can see how it needs to clear over top the front of the rail. rather than simply going with a high mount....i want to get as close to that rail as i can possibly get with a 50mm objective with out running into problems. any help here guys? any advise? thanks.

For this set up, I had an ARMS mount. The lowest mount I've seen. and Badger 306-78 rings, which are 1" high. This is a 56mm objective lens. It just barely clears the handguard without caps. I couldn't get a dime between it. I don't know if the ADMs have different heights, But I think 1" would work since your mount is a bit higher and you have a 50mm obj. Premier is a great scope. I sold this one on mounted a light tactical. Love it.

Greetings,

Sorry I can't comment on your specific height issue, but would like to give a thumbs up to the ADM products. I think they are of at least the quality level of the bigger names at a better price. Customer service was outstanding as well. Best of luck figuring out your mount.

Regards, Jim

For the flat top application, you will need a mount >1.125". I tested my PR 3-15x50 in a 1.125" Near Mfg mount on my roommate's POF P308 and the objective barely did not fit because of the flared lip for the Tenebraex TT caps -- this was with the cap off.

With the cap on, I would say 1.250" may be pushing the edge of too low.
