Scope for m1a1

Has anyone had experience with a Millett TRS-1 4-16 X50mm Mil - Dot scope? Looking at one to put on my M1A1. Thanks.

I had one and sold it to stickboy (another member of this forum) and now I own a Millett LRS scope.

I like them both, but the TRS is a little easier to work with because it's got a slightly smaller objective lens and it's not quite as heavy. It also has a little less magnification compared to the LRS scope but unless you are shooting at very small stuff at very long range it doesn't really matter in the real world.

Stickboy has done more long range work with it than I did but I have been with him when he was working at 600 to 800 yards. It seemed like it was returning pretty well but I can't swear just how accurately it was working for him.

I have a TSR-1 and I like it its not exactly my Leopold on the bolt gun but it does a great job. I found i dont really use the 4-8 power ranges though and if you would like to see what it can do i actually just posted a range report on it. Heres the link.

After a bad day at the range

Good Shooting.

Went with Millett TRS-1 4 X 16 Mil-Dot, Stripped & refinished stock, put on a TNVC-RSP cheekrest with spare magazine holder. Have not made it to the range yet. Range report to follow when I get some time off. Appreciate all the input, great place for info.
