| Art II scope cases.
Most of time the scopes were placed on a rifle, "zeroed" and kept that way when employed on a sniper rifle. It was meant for transit only, and the scope mounting base was serial numbered to the last 4 digits of the rifle. The case was never really carried to the "field" where the action was, and generally they were never field mounted to the rifle in battle. They were used in Grenada, Panama, and Gulf Wars part I and II, and of course the current global war on terrorizm. I have seen a single black painted one come out of Aniston, and some really badly repainted green ones (Paint on the webbing). Sorry, No Camo painted ones.
I have two for my two Art II scopes, and I picked out the best ones out of may be 8 or 10 at a gun show in 2008 or so. I have only seen about 40 or so over the last five or six years. The Tulsa Gun show is a great place to pick one up.
