Correct me if I'm wrong but you can still use your iron sites with this mount?

Yes you can still use the iron sights on this mount. I recentlly was given one of these mounts by a friend at christmas, but rather than be rude and tell im i did not need it i dicided to try it out. I will say its not as good as my real ARMS 18 split rail mount but suprisingly it held zero quite well at 200 yards and held it for the 400 rounds that i put through before i put my ARMS mount back on. All in all its not that bad with the new improvements and for 70 dollers on Cheaper than Dirt it is a good low end way to scope your M14. I still like the real thing better though.

I have the other type Promag mount (PM081) on my M1A and have had no problems. Even fell off the bench on the concrete slab and kept zero? Maybe I got lucky but I have no complaints.
