They are still out there.

But be careful. The market is flooded with cheap foreign made copies that show up everywhere. Fortunately if you know what to look for they become very easy to spot.
Sorry for jumping on the soap box, but I believe that anyone who is serious about military blades needs to invest some time and money, (for good reference material), to protect themselves from the junk and story tellers out there.

The last time I put my hands on a NIW Aerial M6 was last year believe it or not. It's just as these things become less and less common the asking prices do tend to go up.
If you really want to round out the M6 collection finding the almost mythical AN marked M6 is a real snipe hunt. Never heard of one that was NIW.

Sharky,

With persistence you can find just about any M14 part you need, it may take a while and a good bit of money but they are out there.

I just picked up Winchester op-rods new in the tube, cost a bunch but they are mine!

If you want to build a 100% clone your parts will have to come new from the wrap or tube ,unless marked or stamped.

Winchester rear sights were stamped OMB1,OMB2,OMB3 etc. They used WCE as a subcontractor, not as replacement parts as Art stated. TRW was know to have used Wright for example and would not have used SA. If you want real answers its best to get your info from someone other than a shooter, a collector. It may not be important to a shooter but you can bet it is to a collector.

I would suggest if you are serious about the M14 platform you consult Lee Emerson's Book, M14 Rifle History and Development (Different). It will get you on the right track.

Oh, just about a year ago I found on gunbroker a decent Aerial for $50.00 not new mind you but in nice shape and a good example.

Sharky, I was able to pick up new in wrapper milpars only. I have two available, one dated 4/'62 and one dated 3/'67. I also have an excellent condition m8a1 scabbard I can include for you. PM me if you're interested still, by the end of the night I will be listing the bayonets in the PX.
