Hi all, I'm happy to be a part of your group. I carried an M-14 back in the early 60's and loved it. I also packed an M1 for a while. It was in 1965 that we turned our 14's in for the M-16 and what a day that was. Most of didn't have much faith in the new "toy" and it proved to be somewhat true. We had a lot of trouble with them for a while. It seemed we couldn't drag them around in the mud like we could the other two. Anyhow, it's good to be here. Oh, I was jumping out of planes in those days. 173rd.....64-66..All the Way!!
Welcome aboard, Andy65, I never could quite see being so impatient that I would jump out of a perfectly good airplane just to get to the same ground as if I had stayed in it. GI2 GI2 MCORPS1 Well I'm glad you landed here and I am sure you will enjoy the forums as well as being here with us. Have fun.
Welcome andy65-----Thank you for your service. One thing about paratroopers they sure had some good songs. "There was blood upon the risers, there was brains upon the chute, there was intestines hanging from my paratrooper boots"!
