Howdy all,

I've owned several M1A rifles in the past but I'm currently working on 2 keepers. I was directed here by a co-worker and some members from SniperHide.com where I've been a member for a number of years. I'm mainly into Remington platform precision bolt guns but I have a fond appreciation for M1 Garands & M1A/M14's rifles.

Relating to this forum, I currently own:

1) Feb '41 Springfield Armory M1 Garand with NM sights and op rod

2) 1982 vintage SA M1A National Match with early slim profile wood stock but is now bedded in an OD green painted McMillan M3A fiberglass stock w/ saddle cheekpiece & Smith Ent. scope mount. I'll add optics when funds allow.

3) M1A loaded package with stainless barrel in OD green painted GI plastic stock but have a molded-in tan McMillan M3A fiberglass stock that will be set up as a non-scoped battle type rifle.

I'll post pics when I get my camera back.

Feb '41 SA #2026XX M1 Garand w/ Danish VAR barrel (1.5 muzzle & 1.5 chamber), NM sights and op-rod. It shoots absolutely fantastic especially in the rapid fire prone.

1982 SA National Match #0253XX with all USGI parts and bedded slimline NM stock. It is now bedded in a McMillan M3A OD painted stock. It still shoots great. I'm curious to see how well a quality optic will work out with it.

Finally, my latest pawn shop acquisition.

An SA "Loaded" package M1A #1365XX w/ stainless barrel and OD painted USGI stock. I reinforced the forend with extra fiberglass and and added 2 front sling studs. I also have another McMillan M3A stock that I'll bed to it soon. It has steel added to bottom of forend and butt to strengthen and give better support for the Witchita swivels and front sling stud. A 1" Pachmayr Decellerator pad is also added.

I may add a Karsten cheekpiece if I decide to add an optic (low powered variable) to it.
