Well, after a year in Afghanistan of gawking at M1A's online, and shooting issued M14's, i finally got to find one when i got back. I picked it up at a gun show, NIB, synthetic. As soon as i got home, i put a Specter 3point on it, and painted the stock OD, and put my Aimpoint ML2 on it off of my AR. I've been buying ammo the whole time i was deployed and having it shipped home, and finally have gotten to put about 180 rounds through it of various surplus 7.62, SB .308 SP, and Prvi Partizan SP 150 grn. It shoots even better than I imagined, and will be the favorite of all my guns for years to come. Here's some pictures.

sorry for the crappy pictures.
