Jag I know what you are trying to do, and I think your best bet is do an all Bula build. It will cost quite a bit more than six hundred but you won't find an M14/M1a for anywhere near $600.

WELCOME from Texas Jag. Ren gives good advice. Keep checking the PX here. Can't see current prices for complete rifles and components won't be this way forever if you can begin to take advantage of it now. Prices on complete rifles and barreled receivers lately have been true STEALS. More, the integrity of the Members here is second to none so you can buy with confidence. Watch all of TonyBen's videos. Like getting a diploma in M1A.
