Tocuin, What is the difference in the CA and a regular flash suppressor? I have a CA also, have not fired it yet. I'm from ARDMORE.PA.

California has all of those "assault rifle rules" so they don't permit bayonet lugs. Springfield Armory calls the device a muzzle brake / stabilizer. (Politically Correct?)

The CA unit (see attached) has round holes and no bayonet lug. The GI unit has slots and a bayonet lug.

Folks have posted that that are two variants: one original dimensions, and a "match" version that has a larger bore. I would guess that if you want to use the blank firing attachent / blanks, you'd need the regulation size.

Anyway, if you want to use my castle wrench (Hey, 24 bucks is 24 bucks!), I'm just up the Main Line in Malvern.
