greetings to all, not currently an m1a/m14 owner, but i figure this is a good place to start. i was on nevadashooters and saw a socom 16 that a fellow wanted to trade for a garand and missed out by an inch or a mile, always wanted one, have 2 .308 bolt rifles and cook up my own loads, so the trade for a 30-06 to a .308 would make sense, as long as i really could part with my lovely colleen (sa garand manuf. 11/44), yes, i know she's 69 years old! but don't knock it....
now it's got me thinkin' i NEED one of those beauties. (the wife does NOT need to know)
anyway, avid pistol, ar, ak, bolt .223 and .308, garand, shooter, casino trash, builder of fine machines from firearms to hd choppers, old enough to realize my father was right and set in my ways.

Hi Mike! Welcome to the forum! Good luck finding an M14/M1A, there are a few deals still out there but you have to look, don't give up though. There are several Las Vegas guys on here. I love Vegas! Enjoy the forum.
