This is ssgtnail during Desert Shield/Storm, the day that a tech from EOD Tech Div finally showed up with some examples of the new landmines we were facing...
So if anyone hasn't figured it out yet we were comrades through that mess.
Welcome brother, nice to talk with you again.
Oh, and if anyone has any questions about the Brown Bess, or black powder, or buckskins, or teepees, or flint steel and tow linen, send them ssgtnail's way. Trust me, he knows.
Wow! Was just lamenting the lack of any decent pics from those days! that sure takes me back! thanks for the memory boost. Don't suppose you could send a few of those pics my way? Sure would appreciate it.
Black Powder getting harder to find than Cocaine around here, but I manage to find enough to keep the Withdrawals down.
Just bought a .62 custom Fusil for deer hunting and small game, and still have my Bess, she's looking her age though!
Hair's a tad longer nowadays (and grayer, sadly) I still feel the same as I did then but my knees remind me that time does march on.
Semer Fi Brother!
