Thank you Old Sarge.
I already posted photos of my two M14/M1A here My new SA M1A with Sage EBR
The gun laws in Italy are very severe and restrictive and we are very far unfortunatly from the 2nd amendment you have in USA, you 're very lucky !

I will post now photos of my 1911's, the hand gun model I prefer.
My SA Trophy Match and my SA Full Size Match, both of them have been custmized by Roberto Dallera of ADC in Italy
SA customized by ALGIMEC with 6" barrel
It can shot a group of 5 rounds in 2" at 27 yeards
SA Mil Spec
Colt 1911A1 of 1943
Colt Delta Elite 10mm Auto
Wilson Combat CQB
Colt's MK IV / Series 70 Gold Cup National Match
Colt ACE "Service Model" .22" LR
S&W SW1911
I know this is not a real 1911, anyway, my S&W 945
I also own about 50 S&W most of them are pined bar revolvers ...

Il cose pui importante per liberta' E Armi in le mani di le gente. Leggere Miachevelli e Cesare Beccaria E' basta:
Thomas Jefferson in his "Commonplace Book," copied a passage from Beccaria related to the issue of gun control. The quote reads, "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms . . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes . . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."[3]

Joseph | Buongiorno Giuseppe,
grazie per il benvenuto, riesco a comprendere perfettamente il suo Italiano.
Your quote of Beccaria sentence is absolutely true. This is the real problem in Italy and local authorities who deny to people to have a gun, are just playing the game of criminals.

My Italian is so bad this might help Bizio more than everyone else!
Here is the translation of what I was trying to say. I feel it was rude of me not to speak English in the US, if the rest of the listeners can not understand it.
Good Day Sir,
My name is Joseph. I live in Southern California between LA and Santa Barbara.
I do not speak or write Italian very well, but I would like to say hello in the
beautiful language of Italian.
My family arrived in the US 100 years ago, but now I am the only one that can speak a few words [of it]. The old ones have died off.
The thing most important for Liberty is arms in the hands of the people.
To read Machiavelli and author Cesare Beccaria is enough. [I misspelled Machiavelli in the first post
The quote by Beccaria is a well known one, But I did not know of Jefferson's involvement. Beccaria was a big "Liberal" of his day since he wanted people to go to jail rather than to be executed for every offense. He is the Father of the "modern prison" system. Look him up for a good explanation.
He recopied it from a text, by hand of course, into his commonplace book.
That was the like a folder of photo copies and things cut out of the newspapers we might have today. Since it was done by hand with a quill pen it had to be important.
Joe

Where are you in italy? Just the region is fine for security. My family was from Salerno province, my Father, and Bari area, mother's side.
