I'm new to this site but my family's had an M1A since 1980. Over the last couple of decades I drifted away, you know, college and the black rifle disease, that sort of thing. But, after shooting the plastic fantastic mattel toys, I reached back into the dark recesses of the gun cabinet, blew away the cobwebs and reacquainted myself with the old M1A. It's got a couple of issues, the op rod guide working loose. That was easily dealt with. Bolt roller impact mark, if I'm careful with a Dremel tool, then cold blue, no problem.
Now I need more ammunition and range time. Plus a new LRB or Smith Enterprises. And the plastic fantastic rifles. Well, they can go to the smelter.
