Navy Belt Buckles

Sorry, wasn't sure where else to put this. MODS: Please relocate if needed.

My grandfather passed away a few weeks. We found some of his post WWII Navy items. One of the items is a brass belt buckle that is stamped "RAU". I'm trying to find out a little more information about these...if at all possible. Thanks, all!

Chad

Might help some if you can post a photo of the belt buckle.
