So was the rep saying you could get this stock with a ar style side folder? I also like the choate stocks. I had a ultimate varmint stock on a savage 10fp. It was a little on the heavy side but very comfortable and adjustable for stock weld and LOP.

The above configuration is awesome. I might have to give these guys a call and see if you can get just the pistol grip/buttstock section, like they do with the shotgun stocks. A wood stock with a adj LOP side folder would be a good looking mix.

I pm'd Choate within the forum. No answer yet. I've just written to them on their website if they still want to offer the group buy.

Thanks from bigdubba

This might be something I'd be interested in, also. But I hate the thought of giving up the storage space in the regular stock.

Received my Choate Folder today & at first look it seems very nicely made & well worth the wait . As expected the stock looks & fits like it came with the gun . Locks up tightly & the rubber shoulder pad is thick enough to make me feel like it will be plenty comfortable to shoot for extended periods without bouncing around on my shoulder . After I figure out how I'll post some photos up of it for yall to see .

Good to hear bigdubba and anxious for pics.

No response from Choate about group buy. Will try to call them.

Hopefully you can see the pics I took by clicking on the link . I put the Choate stock on one of my M14 clones & took photos along with a USGI M14 fiberglass stock & a older Choate folder stock mounted on a Mini 14 for comparison .

Fred Choate did reply:

Tim,
Sorry for the slow response, I have had several people out which put me short handed so the email has been neglected. Yes if you will order 3 or more we will give you 10% off retail. You will have to call and ask for me. The folders are out of stock because we had a foreign distributor order all we had in house. We are running wide open to keep up with demand on almost everything, please be patient with us.
Thanks
Fred Choate

I have asked him what the procedure is and if he can offer ground shipment to Alaska too. PM me if you are ready to buy.

I think $275 is the base price. But, yes do need clarification. PM your email address to me. And we'll have an email conversation with Fred Choate to nail down the particulars. You will be the third so we have the minimum required now.

Anyone else please PM your email address to me.

Choate will ground ship to AK. Big thanks for that.
